Anonymous asked: I feel sad that I can't cosplay Elsa well because, well, I'm Asian, and I'm not one of those Asians blessed with pale skin, either (my skintone's actually somewhere between a warm beige and olive). I will never be able to pull off platinum blonde hair without looking funny, even if it's a wig, and it sucks because I want to cosplay Elsa so much since she's the first Disney character I identify with, but can't get over the fact that I won't look right because I'm not white or I'm not pale. :(
Anon, you cosplay whoever you wanna cosplay! If you’re Asian you wanna cosplay Elsa YOU DO IT! BE WHOEVER YOU WANT TO BE! Besides, cosplay is for fun c: don’t take yourself too seriously!
- MasonMason’s absolutely right!! So you’re skin is white as snow but Tiana is your favorite Princess, or you’re a little overweight but you’re favorite character is Tinkerbell. SO WHAT? WHO CARES! Do what you want to do, be who you want to be! Cosplay is to show your passion for your favorite characters and shows/movies. It doesn’t matter what you looks like. Be yourself, and OWN THAT COSPLAY!!!
